My name is Isabella Littleford, and I bring over a decade of deep immersion in the world of fashion, always with a focus on how luxury can live in daily wardrobes.
Having spent more than ten years in fashion, I’ve had the privilege of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. That experience taught me to recognize exceptional quality, innovative design, and timeless appeal. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that seamlessly blends a vintage-inspired edge with luxury-level build quality. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, highlighting their aesthetics, practicality, and adaptability.
If you’re someone who lives for limited-edition sneakers or just wants a polished casual shoe, I’m here to offer you expert insights with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m diving into a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as where you can find them on sale, just ahead! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, take a look at my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!
Where did you purchase them?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick which was a major plus
What’s the cost?
When I ordered my pair in spring, I paid $385.43, but their standard price is around $514.
These sneakers typically range from $410 and black golden goose $1,700, depending on how decked out they are.
How is the fit?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
How comfy are they?
They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in synthetic materials. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.
Are they worth it?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also be smart.
Discount sources?
Check out my list below. I had a amazing experience with GGoose.org, so I think they’re a great option.

Where did you score your pair?
I discovered mine on discount via Cettire and purchased them that way!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
How much do they run?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their uniqueness.
Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong.
Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
